How it works

Every morning we copy each official list, keep it, and compare it with the day before.

The morning run

05:10 UTC

Fetch the official file

One request per list, from the publisher's own page.

Kept for good

Keep the raw copy

Dated, fingerprinted, never edited.

Line by line

Compare with yesterday

Added, removed, changed or returned.

Safety catch. A suspect copy is held until a person checks it.

Out to you

The same record, four ways.

The same four steps run for each of the 11 lists, every morning.

What we never say

That a product will get the grant. We say what a list printed, on what date.

If we get it wrong

Tell us. We check the official file and correct the record; the fix is a dated change too.
